The theme for 2025/26 is 'God ever present'.
Over the past few years, we have seen God shaping and moulding us. He desires to see us drawing alongside and encouraging one another, and deepening our friendships, not only with each other but ultimately with him. In Romans 12:10 the Lord instructs us to, “Be devoted to one another...” while in Romans 12:2 we are reminded, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.” We have also been reminded of our responsibility to share that which God has entrusted to us - “… from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked” (Luke 12:48).
Our theme for this year is 'God ever present' and is based on the key verse from Psalm 46:1,
'God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.'
This is one of the best-known and most comforting verses in the Bible. Taking refuge can sound vulnerable and weak and yet, in the same sentence, strength is mentioned. We are not to forget how powerful our God is and that he will strengthen us. “An ever-present help in trouble” leaves us in no doubt that God is there for us.
